Customer Service Rep Job Description
In this position, you would work in a fast-paced, intense, results-oriented environment. Your main responsibilities would be handling inbound customer calls while using a computer terminal, researching and resolving billing inquiries, explaining our products and services, and troubleshooting service and equipment questions.
Call Center Hours and Work ScheduleThe call center is currently open 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 6am-11pm. We need individuals to be flexible to work any shift that is available during the hours of operation. Verizon Wireless is unable to make accommodations for other job or school schedules. Again, individuals will be expected to work at minimum an 8-hour shift between the hours of 6am-11pm. This could also include both weekend days and/or holidays.
Customer Service Rep Training
Training is paid and consists first of seven weeks of classroom training. This training is held Monday through Friday and is scheduled 8am-5pm. After the classroom training, you will go through 12 weeks of actual live call training, which is called Transition. During Transition, representatives take live customer calls with support available to assist with questions and give advice. If selected for employment, your transition schedule will be 12-9pm with two days off. Due to the importance of training sessions, candidates must be able to work without interruption for the first 90 days of employment.
Potential Candidates Must…
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced, intense, and results-oriented environment.Be willing to learn and be responsible for a wide variety of product and service information and able to multi-task listening to the customer, sharing information, and troubleshooting issues.Have the ability to work with frustrated customers and be able to effectively and efficiently handle this type of call. Be able to work shift work anytime from 6a.m. - 11p.m., in a call center that is open 365 days a year.
